Bringing a wealth of knowledge from his previous experience with the series and class, Gunnar is looking forward to helping CORE Autosport becoming a championship winning team in it’s first year with the American LeMans series.
Gunnar has a long history at LeMans after becoming the youngest finisher on record in 2000 at the age of 18. Since then the young American has competed at the famed French race 7 times with several class podiums and a best overall finish of 5th with the factory Panoz LMP1 Team. He has raced both in the US & Europe for the Factory Panoz effort and Ford Racing’s sportscar program in addition to several other Private teams.
When not driving race cars professionally you can find Gunnar skydiving and BASE jumping. After starting skydiving in 2004, Gunnar caught the jumping bug quickly and has racked up over 1500 skydives and 200 BASE jumps. He’s participated in world record skydives and flown Wingsuits off cliffs in the European Alps. Gunnar has also been featured on MTV, People Magazine, USA Today, and several other local & nationwide publications.
Look for Gunnar to be setting the pace and going for more wins in the LMPC class in 2011!
